VOD, PVR and HDTV are important weapons in the IPTV Operators’ fight to secure Pay TV subscriptions today but looking ahead, they’re just part of a bigger picture as the movement of content beyond the initial receiving device – and not just the content itself — becomes a distinguishing feature of an IPTV portfolio.
In many instances, the storage used for PVR will become the common repository from which other devices are fed, and on-demand files like VOD are the most likely assets to be shifted.
